Waxing your boat not only improves it’s appearance – it also protects the surface against attack and makes cleaning easier by reducing the adhesion of dirt. Additional coats of wax build more protection and gives a deeper shine.
But don’t be tempted to use car polish – most contain abrasive compounds that cut into the gel coat. Choose a wax that’s matched to your boat:

Modern cream-consistency polymer boat wax combining the dirt-repelling characteristics of PTFE (the non-stick coating used on frying pans) in a high-sheen, protective wax.
This is the best modern polymer wax polish we’ve used. It contains no abrasives and is ideal for use on fibreglass boat hulls. Easy to apply by hand – no need for a machine, and buff off after 10 minutes with a microfibre cloth.

Our best liquid wax for grp or painted surfaces
Hard Brazilian carnauba wax blended into a cream form that makes it very easy to apply. Leaves no chalky white deposits around wood or trim – just wipe on and buff to a brilliant silky smooth shine. Apply by hand – no need to use a machine which makes it so easy and flexible – no wonder its our best selling wax. Can be applied in full sunlight and can be buffed off with ease even up to 2 hours later. Durability of several months and very good on coloured boats as its oils refresh colour beautifully.

It fills in swirls/light surface scratches, deepens colour and dries as hard as concrete to give an amazing and durable season-long finish.

Polymer Wash and Wax Concentrate
Regular-use boat wash shampoo concentrate with high grade polymer waxes to help prevent black streaking. Tops up the wax as you wash, enhancing wax longevity, and recommended for use on surfaces prepared with UltraGlaze or PTFE wax. pH neutral. Use diluted (two capfuls in a bucket of water) for hand washing or with a pressure washer.

Once waxed, don’t wash the shine and protection away by using domestic or aggressive bulk detergents. Keep your boat in pristine condition by regular washing with a matched wash and wax concentrate.This tops up the wax coat each time you wash and helps to make the shine last longer. As the product will go into the water its also better for the environment – this is a fully biodegradable product.
