Gel Coat Finishing Compounds
Finishing compounds, also known as cutting compounds or polishing compounds can be used for restoring worn and scratched fibreglass surfaces.
BoatSheen Clean Cut Compound has a progressive cutting and polishing action that removes scratches, leaving a clean shine on fibreglass gel coat. The progressive cutting-polishing action saves work because the compound changes from cutting action to a finer polish as the process is continued.
Small areas can be treated by hand, but for quickest results, we recommend a rotary sander-polishing machine.
We don't recommend cutting compounds for routine polishing, as they remove more material than necessary. For this, we recommend Boatsheen Prewax colour restorer
